 | The Grandmaster Mchedlishvili Mikheil (Georgia) scored a total of 7.5 points out of possible 10 games and earned the Championship of Ravana International, the Sri Lankas first grandmaster tournament concluded at the Ceylon Continental Hotel in Colombo. He who was the top seed among participants showed that he is the top in the event by defeating GM Shabalov of USA in the crucial final game. GM Alexander Shabalov who was leading after the penultimate round has just to place 3rd with 7 points. GM Georgiev Vladimir (MKD) also scored 7.5 points, but has to get the 2nd place according to the tie breaker. |
