Asian Continental Championships 2010 in Subic, Philippines |

The National Chess Federation of the Philippines on behalf of FIDE and the Asian Chess Federation invites federations in Zones 3.1 to 3.6 to participate in the Asian Continental Individual Open and Women's Chess Championships 20 to 30 April 2010 in Subic Freeport, Olongapo. Download invitation letter of NCFP President Prospero A. Pichay, and regulations and registration form. At stake are a total of $50,000 in cash prizes for the Open and $15,000 in cash prizes for the Women's, as with last year's championship. The top five (5) from the 2010 Asian (Open) Championship shall qualify for the 2011 World Cup. The 2010 Asian Women's champion shall qualify for the 2012 Women's World Championship. As approved by the Asian Continental Assembly, the Asian Open and Women's Championships shall henceforth be annual events. |

(Uppsala) Muhammed Zamir, a former career diplomat, has worked as Ambassador in various countries in Europe-Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.He has also been Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, FAO, the World Food Programme, International Fund for Agricultural Development and the European Communities and Head of the Political Division of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. |

 | The Chess Competition of 16th Asian Indoor Games 2010 that will be held in Guangzhou China from 12 - 27 November 2010 will consist of four events with seperate Medal Series: Men's Individual, Women's Individual that will organize in Rapid format and every country can have 2 participate in Men and 2 in Women competition.
